New compost laws enforce Zero waste in San Francisco

While visiting San francisco yesterday, I was so happy to this newspaper headline among the usual bad news of our economic times typically printed on the front pages. San Francisco is the only city so far demanding that all food scraps go into compost. The city will begin fining those that leave food scraps in their waste. I hope other cities can follow this model led by Mayor Newson.
