Meklit Hadero at Stern Grove Sunday 8/1

Local, eclectic jazzy-Ethiopian-born Meklit Hadero plays for free at Stern Grove this Sunday with legendary Rickie Lee Jones. I’ve been lucky to see Meklit play at the tiny Red Poppy Art House in the Mission, where she’s the Artist in residence. The (tiny) house fills up and everyone listens in awe. She’s gained national attention and has even joined TED Fellows program as a mover and shaker in the arts. Keep an eye out if you miss her this time.
