Dance week is here & countdown to NY Dance Parade!

I’ve picked all Bay Area Dance week picks here, including Hoop the Flow’s Appreciation day tomorrow, Jill Parker‘s tribal belly class, and 5 rhythms on Thursday.

If you’re in NY, Dance Parade is hosting its International Dance Day fun-raiser tomorrow for its annual celebration of dance, down Manhattan’s 5th avenue.

Scroll for the classes I’ll be shooting to attend this week, not to mention including some poi perhaps, and a Temple of Poi performance sometime.

Off to pick up my collapsible hoop now!

Hoop Appreciation Day Saturday, April 24, 1-4 pm, Precita Park, San Francisco. Bring a hoop. Bring a friend. Hoop in the open. Free class starts 1.30pm. Give thanks to the hoop!

The 5Rhythms is a simple, powerful moving meditation that anyone can practice. There are no steps to follow, no choreography to learn, no way to do it wrong. The only requirement is a body that is still breathing, a heart that is still beating, and mind that is still curious!
